Add an AI chatbot to your Webflow site

A Webflow AI chatbot that answers visitors from your own published pages and hands the conversation to you when a person is needed. You paste one line into the site's Footer code and publish. Nothing to build in the Designer.

What Webflow requires

Webflow lets you add site-wide custom code on sites with a paid Site plan, or on paid Workspace plans. The free Starter site cannot. Custom code also only runs on the published site, not in the Designer canvas.

Get your line of code

Sign up with your e-mail and enter your site's published address (your custom domain, or the webflow.io address if that is what visitors use). After the first read, copy your line from the dashboard:

<script src="https://7x24hrs.com/widget.js" data-store="site_…" async></script>
Your own line, with your website's id, is in your dashboard after you sign up.

Add it in Webflow

  1. Open your project's Site settings.
  2. Go to the Custom code tab.
  3. Paste your line into Footer code. It is placed before the closing </body> tag on every page.
  4. Press Save changes.
  5. Publish the site to the domains you use.
  6. Open the published site. The chat button appears in the bottom-right corner and your dashboard shows Connected.

To show it on a single page only, use that page's own custom code settings (before </body>) instead of the site-wide footer.

Two domains? Add both

Many Webflow sites are reachable on a custom domain and on webflow.io. The chat answers only on domains registered in your dashboard; www and without www count as one. If you also want it on the staging address, add that domain in the dashboard. For local tests, localhost works too.

What it does on a Webflow site

It reads your site's public pages, including CMS collection pages it can reach through your links, and re-reads them every day, so new CMS items and edits reach the assistant without any action from you. It answers in the visitor's language from those pages only, says so when a question is not covered, and lists those questions for you.

Webflow is often used for SaaS, agency and service sites. For those, typical questions are “do you integrate with X”, “what does the Pro plan include”, “how do I cancel” and “do you work with clients in my country”. If your pages answer them, so does the assistant. If they do not, you will see the questions in your list.

For Webflow Ecommerce, it answers product and policy questions from your pages. It does not connect to Webflow's orders, so it cannot look up, cancel or change orders: those conversations are passed to you.

Hand-offs to your team

When a visitor asks for a person or needs something done, the conversation goes to your e-mail, or to Slack, Discord or Telegram if you connect them. From the chat apps you can reply and the visitor sees your answer in their chat window.

Check it before you announce it

  1. Ask the test chat on your setup page the questions in your sales or support inbox from last month.
  2. Where an answer is missing, add the fact to the page where visitors would look for it, then publish.
  3. After the next daily read, ask again, and check the list of questions it could not answer in your dashboard.

Your answers stay yours: the assistant does not use outside knowledge about your product, competitors or prices, only what your published site says.

Does it work on the free Webflow plan?

Webflow allows custom code only on sites with a paid Site plan or on paid Workspace plans, so not on a free Starter site.

Why don't I see the chat in the Designer?

Custom code runs only on the published site. Publish, then open the site in a new tab.

Does it read CMS pages?

Yes, the public CMS pages it can reach from your site's links, re-read every day.

Will it clash with my interactions or scripts?

The chat lives in its own isolated element (a shadow root) and loads asynchronously, so your styles and scripts do not affect it, and it does not affect them.

What does it cost?

30 conversations a month free, with a small “Powered by 7x24hrs” line. Paid plans are $19, $59, $199 and $1,099 a month for 90, 275, 1,000 and 6,000 conversations. See pricing.
