Answer your customers in Telegram with your own AI bot

Your customers write to your own Telegram bot, and your AI assistant answers them from your website's data: the same answers, character and rules as the chat button on your site. We host it, so there is nothing to install or run. When a person is needed, your team is told and can answer right there in Telegram.

What you need

  • A website or Shopify store set up with us, on a paid plan (Basic, Standard, Elite or Enterprise). Sign up with your e-mail if you have not yet.
  • A Telegram account, to create the bot with Telegram's own @BotFather.

Connect it in two minutes

  1. In Telegram, open @BotFather and send /newbot. Choose the bot's name (for example your store's name) and a username that ends in “bot”.
  2. BotFather replies with a token, a long line of digits, a colon and letters. Copy all of it.
  3. In your dashboard, open Your assistant in Telegram, Discord and WhatsApp, paste the token next to Telegram and press Connect.
  4. Open your bot in Telegram and press Start: it greets you with your assistant's welcome message. Ask it a question about your store.

Keep the token private: anyone who has it can control the bot. If it leaks, send /revoke to @BotFather, then connect the new token in your dashboard.

Where it answers

  • Private chats: every message is answered.
  • Groups: add the bot to the group. It answers only when someone mentions it (@yourbot) or replies to one of its messages, so it never talks over a conversation between people.
  • Languages: it answers in the language the customer writes in.

When a person is needed

If the assistant is not sure, or the customer asks for a person, it says so and gives your contact address, and your team is told by e-mail, Slack, Discord or Telegram as usual, marked “via Telegram”. Answer from there and your reply reaches the customer in your bot's chat, marked as coming from your team; their next messages come to you until you hand the conversation back.

Which plans include the Telegram bot?

Every paid plan: Basic $19 a month for 90 conversations, Standard $59 for 275, Elite $199 for 1,000 and Enterprise $1,099 for 6,000. Conversations in Telegram come out of the same monthly allowance as your chat button. See pricing.

Can I use a bot I already have?

Yes, as long as nothing else is using it: connecting points the bot's webhook at us, which stops any other program that reads its messages. Disconnecting removes the webhook again.

Is my token safe?

It is stored encrypted, never written to our logs, and removed as soon as you press Disconnect.

Does it handle pictures or voice messages?

Not yet: it answers text messages. Commands other than /start are treated as questions.
