An AI chatbot for your BigCommerce store

A BigCommerce AI chatbot that answers shoppers about your products, shipping and returns from your storefront's own pages, at any hour. You add one script through BigCommerce's Script Manager. It does not look up or change BigCommerce orders.

Updated October 21, 2026

Before you start

  • Script Manager works with Stencil themes. Stores on Multi-Storefront manage scripts per storefront in Channel Manager.
  • You need an account with us: sign up with your e-mail, enter your storefront's address, and copy your line from the dashboard.
<script src="https://7x24hrs.com/widget.js" data-store="site_…" async></script>
Your own line, with your website's id, is in your dashboard after you sign up.

Add it with Script Manager

  1. In your BigCommerce control panel, go to Storefront → Script Manager and press Create a Script.
  2. Name it, for example “AI chat”.
  3. Location on page: Footer.
  4. Select pages where the script will be added: Storefront pages. (“All pages” would also put it on checkout and order confirmation, which shoppers rarely need it for.)
  5. Script category: Functional, so it is not held back by a cookie consent banner as marketing or analytics would be.
  6. Script type: Script, and paste your line into the contents box.
  7. Press Save, then open your storefront. The chat button appears in the bottom-right corner and your dashboard shows Connected.

What it does on BigCommerce

It reads your storefront's public pages: product pages, categories, shipping and returns pages, FAQ and about pages. It re-reads them every day and answers from them in the shopper's language. Typical questions it handles:

  • Fit and compatibility, when your product pages state them: “Does this fit a 2019 model?”
  • Materials, sizes, what is in the box.
  • Where you ship, what it costs and how long it takes.
  • Your return window and conditions.

If the answer is not on your pages, the assistant says so, offers a way to reach you, and lists the question for you, so the next shopper gets an answer once you add it.

BigCommerce product pages usually carry product structured data, so the mascot can show a product in a small bubble to visitors who have not asked anything yet.

What it does not do on BigCommerce

The assistant is not connected to your BigCommerce orders or catalogue API. It cannot tell a shopper where their order is, cannot cancel or change an order, and does not add items to the cart. It knows only what your public pages say, read once a day.

Questions about a specific order are handed to you by e-mail, or in Slack, Discord or Telegram if you connect them, where you can answer the shopper live. Order status, cancellations, address changes and add-to-cart buttons are available on Shopify.

Make your pages answer the common questions

Because the assistant answers from your storefront pages, the fastest way to better answers is better pages. Before going live, ask the test chat on your setup page the five questions your shoppers ask most. For each answer that is missing:

  • Shipping: list the countries you ship to, the cost and the usual delivery time on one shipping page, linked from the footer.
  • Returns: state the window, the condition the item must be in and who pays the return postage.
  • Compatibility: write the models, sizes or standards a part fits in the product description, as text. A table is fine; an image of a table cannot be read.
  • Contact: say how and when a person answers, so the assistant can tell shoppers what to expect.

After the next daily read, ask again. The list of questions it could not answer in your dashboard shows what shoppers actually asked, so the work stays focused on real gaps.

Is there a BigCommerce app?

No. You add one script through Script Manager. There is nothing to install from the BigCommerce App Marketplace.

Can it check order status?

No. On BigCommerce it does not connect to your orders. Order questions are passed to you.

My theme is not Stencil. Can I still use it?

Script Manager needs a Stencil theme. On other setups, paste the line before </body> in your theme's layout if your setup allows it.

How quickly does it pick up price changes?

Your pages are read once a day, so price and stock changes reach the assistant at the next daily read.

What does it cost?

30 conversations a month free, with a small “Powered by 7x24hrs” line. Paid plans: $19 for 90, $59 for 275, $199 for 1,000 and $1,099 for 6,000 conversations a month, no overage charges.
