Add an AI chatbot to your Squarespace site

A Squarespace AI chatbot that answers your visitors from your own pages, and hands the conversation to you when it is not sure. You add it with Squarespace's Code Injection: one line in the footer box, for the whole site.

Updated October 21, 2026

Which Squarespace plans can do this

Squarespace says code injection is available on the Core, Plus and Advanced plans and on some legacy billing plans. On a plan without it, and on trial sites, the Code Injection panel is not available. Check your plan under billing if you are unsure.

Get your line of code

Sign up with your e-mail and enter your site's address. We read your public pages in about a minute; try the assistant on the setup page, then copy your line:

<script src="https://7x24hrs.com/widget.js" data-store="site_…" async></script>
Your own line, with your website's id, is in your dashboard after you sign up.

Add it in Squarespace

  1. Log in and open your site in Squarespace.
  2. Open the Code Injection panel. In the current layout it sits in the Pages panel, near the bottom under the unlinked pages, inside Custom code (in earlier layouts, Website Tools). On older sites it was under Settings → Advanced → Code Injection. Squarespace's own help article links straight to the panel; see the source at the end of this page.
  3. Paste your line into the Footer box. Code there goes before the closing </body> tag on every page.
  4. Press Save.
  5. Open your live site (logged out, or in a private window). The chat button appears in the bottom-right corner and your dashboard shows Connected.

Squarespace has moved this setting more than once. If your menus look different from the steps above, search for Code Injection in your site's panel: the name has stayed the same.

What it does on Squarespace

The assistant reads your site's public pages, the way a visitor sees them, and re-reads them every day. It answers questions about what you offer, prices, opening hours, bookings policy, shipping and returns, in the visitor's language, from your pages only. A question your pages do not cover gets an honest “I don't know” and a way to reach you, and lands on your list of questions to answer.

For Squarespace Commerce stores, it answers product and policy questions from your product and policy pages, and the mascot can show a product in a small bubble on pages that describe a single product. It does not connect to Squarespace's orders, so it cannot look up, cancel or change an order. Order questions are passed to you by e-mail, or in Slack, Discord or Telegram.

Tips for better answers on Squarespace

  • Squarespace sites are often image-heavy. The assistant reads text, so write key facts (sizes, prices, delivery times) as text, not only inside images.
  • Put your FAQ on a page of its own. Accordion blocks are fine: their text is on the page.
  • Password-protected pages and member areas are not read.

When a person is needed

Some questions should reach you: a booking change, a damaged delivery, a complaint, or simply “can I talk to someone?”. The assistant passes those conversations to you with what was said so far, by e-mail by default, or in Slack, Discord or Telegram if you connect them in your dashboard. From the chat apps, your reply appears in the visitor's chat window while it is still open; otherwise answer by e-mail.

You can also see every conversation in your dashboard, mark a wrong answer as wrong, and write a standard answer for a question that comes up often, so the assistant gives that exact answer next time.

Why don't I see Code Injection?

Either your plan does not include it (it is available on Core, Plus, Advanced and some legacy plans), or the menu has moved. Search your site panel for “Code Injection”.

Can I add it to a single page?

Squarespace has per-page code injection in each page's settings (Advanced). For a support chat, the site-wide footer is usually what you want.

Does it work in Squarespace's editor preview?

Injected code may not run while you edit. Check the live site in a private window.

Will it change my design?

No. It adds a chat button in the bottom-right corner and nothing else. You can choose its colours and style in your dashboard.

What does it cost?

30 conversations a month free, with a small “Powered by 7x24hrs” line. Paid plans are $19, $59, $199 and $1,099 a month for 90, 275, 1,000 and 6,000 conversations, with no overage charges.
