What it does in a WooCommerce shop
The assistant reads your shop's public pages: product pages, category pages, shipping, returns and FAQ pages. From them it answers the questions that fill a small shop's inbox:
- “Is this available in a larger size?” “What is it made of?” “Which one fits my model?”
- “Do you ship to my country, and how long does it take?”
- “Can I return it if it doesn't fit?”
- “What is the difference between these two?”
It answers in the shopper's language, re-reads your shop every day, and says “I don't know” when your pages do not cover a question, instead of making something up. Those questions are listed for you, so you know which page to improve.
On product pages that carry product structured data (most WooCommerce themes and SEO plugins add it), the mascot can also show a product in a small speech bubble to visitors who have not asked anything yet.
What it does not do on WooCommerce
The assistant does not connect to your WooCommerce store's data. It cannot tell a shopper where their order is, cannot cancel or change an order, and cannot add items to the cart. It knows only what your public pages say.
When a shopper asks about their own order, the assistant passes the conversation to you, by e-mail or in Slack, Discord or Telegram, so you can answer. Order status, cancellations, address changes and add-to-cart buttons are available on Shopify, where the app reads the store's orders directly.
Stock levels and prices are read from your pages once a day, so a change you make this morning may take until the next daily read to show up. If your stock changes by the hour, keep that in mind.
Install it on WooCommerce
WooCommerce runs on WordPress, so the installation is the WordPress one. Copy your line of code from your dashboard after signing up:
<script src="https://7x24hrs.com/widget.js" data-store="site_…" async></script>- In your WordPress admin, install and activate the free WPCode plugin (Plugins → Add New, search “WPCode”).
- Go to Code Snippets → Header & Footer and paste the line into the Footer box.
- Press Save Changes, then clear any page cache your shop uses.
- Open your shop. The chat button appears in the bottom-right corner on every page, cart and checkout included, and your dashboard shows Connected.
Prefer no plugin? Hook the line to wp_footer from your child theme's functions.php, as described on the WordPress page.
Before you install: a quick check
The assistant can only be as good as your pages. Before you go live, use the test chat on your setup page and ask what your shoppers ask most. If an answer is missing, it is usually because the shop does not say it anywhere: add a line to the shipping page or the product description, and the assistant answers from it after the next daily read.
- Write your shipping countries, costs and times on one shipping page.
- Write your returns window and conditions on a returns page.
- Put sizes, materials and compatibility in the product description, not only in images.
Can it tell customers where their WooCommerce order is?
No. It does not connect to your WooCommerce orders. When a shopper asks about their order, the conversation is handed to you.
Is there a WooCommerce plugin?
No. You add one line of code to your site's footer, with WPCode or your child theme.
Does it slow down checkout?
The script loads with async and does not block the page. It does not touch your cart or checkout.
Will it make up prices or discounts?
It answers from your pages only. If a discount or price is not on your pages, it says it does not know and points the shopper to you.
What does it cost?
30 conversations a month free, with a small “Powered by 7x24hrs” line. Paid plans: $19 for 90, $59 for 275, $199 for 1,000, $1,099 for 6,000 conversations a month, no overage charges.
