An AI customer service chatbot for your Shopify store

Our Shopify app reads your products, stock, policies and orders by itself and answers shoppers in a chat window on your storefront. It looks up an order from the order number and e-mail, with no account needed, and, if you allow it, cancels an unshipped order or changes its address after the shopper types a one-time code e-mailed to the address on the order. With the same code it can also refund up to a limit you set; larger refunds wait for your approval.

Our App Store listing is coming soon. Until then, write to [email protected] for the install link.

Why an app and not a line of code

On Shopify the assistant comes as a theme app extension: an app embed you switch on or off in the theme editor. Shopify does not allow apps to ask merchants to paste code into their theme, and the app gets more than a script tag could: it reads your catalogue, policies and orders through Shopify's own data, not by reading web pages.

Install it in three steps

  1. Install the app from the link we send you and open it in your Shopify admin. It reads your products and policies on its own and shows a store check: which common shopper questions your store already answers and which it does not.
  2. Switch on the chat. In your admin go to Online Store → Themes, press Customize (Edit theme) on your theme, open the App embeds panel in the sidebar, turn on AI Support chat and press Save. The chat button appears in the bottom-right corner of your store.
  3. Choose how you hear from it. In the app, enter a support e-mail address for hand-offs, and connect Slack, Discord or Telegram if you want to answer shoppers live from there.

App embeds work with any theme. Nothing is written into your theme files, so switching the embed off removes the chat completely.

What it does on Shopify

  • Product questions from your real catalogue: options, sizes, materials, stock and price, with product cards in the chat. Large catalogues are searched instead of guessed.
  • Shipping, returns and refunds from the policies you wrote in Shopify, in the shopper's own language.
  • Order status without logging in. The shopper gives the order number and the e-mail address used for it. Only when both match does the assistant say anything about the order.
  • Cancel an unshipped order or change its address, if you switch it on. It is off by default. The assistant checks that nothing has shipped, tells the shopper exactly what will happen, and changes nothing until the shopper types a one-time code e-mailed to the address on the order. You are notified every time.
  • Refund up to your limit, if you switch it on. It is off by default. After the shopper types the same one-time code, the assistant refunds up to the limit you set to the original payment method. Anything above comes to you with the order number, amount and reason, and is refunded only when you approve it with one press.
  • Return requests, if you switch it on. It is off by default. After the same one-time code, the assistant submits a Shopify return request for the shipped items the shopper names; you approve or decline it in Shopify. It promises the shopper nothing.
  • Discount codes for a problem, if you switch it on. It is off by default. After the same one-time code, the assistant gives a code up to the limit you set: a fixed amount, for that shopper only, for one use, valid for 30 days, one per order. Anything above comes to you to approve with one press, and we e-mail the code to the shopper. Shoppers who checked out without an account are handed to you.
  • Add-to-cart buttons. When a shopper wants to buy, the assistant shows a button; the item is added only when the shopper presses it.
  • Hand-off to you by e-mail, Slack, Discord or Telegram, with the conversation attached.

Where is my order #1042? My e-mail is [email protected]

Thanks, Sam. Order #1042 has shipped. You can follow it with the tracking link in your shipping confirmation e-mail. Is there anything else I can help with?

The store is read again every 30 minutes, so new products, price changes and policy edits reach the assistant on their own.

What it will not do

  • Invent discount codes, delivery dates or product details your store does not state. Any discount code it gives is created in your Shopify store. It says it does not know and points the shopper to you.
  • Show anything about an order unless the order number and e-mail match.
  • Cancel or change an order unless you switched that on and the shopper typed the one-time code e-mailed to the address on the order.
  • Refund more than your limit unless you approve it.
  • Give a discount code above your limit unless you approve it.
  • Approve a return for you. It only submits the request.
  • Replace a help desk. There is no shared ticket inbox or agent seats; hand-offs come to your e-mail or chat app.

Pricing on Shopify

Billing goes through your regular Shopify bill. The Free plan includes 30 conversations a month. Basic is $19 a month for 90 conversations, Standard $59 for 275, Elite $199 for 1,000 and Enterprise $1,099 for 6,000. A conversation is one shopper chatting, however many questions they ask. There are no overage charges: past the limit, new shoppers are asked to e-mail you until the count starts again on the 1st.

Does it change my theme?

No. It is an app embed that you switch on or off in the theme editor. Your theme files are not edited.

Can shoppers check their order without an account?

Yes. They give the order number and the e-mail address on the order. If the two do not match, the assistant says so and shares nothing.

Can it cancel orders by itself?

Only if you switch it on in the app, only for orders where nothing has shipped, and only after the shopper types a one-time code e-mailed to the address on the order. You are notified every time.

Can it refund by itself?

Only if you switch it on in the app, only up to the limit you set, and only after the shopper types the one-time code e-mailed to the address on the order. A larger refund waits until you approve it; if you reject it, we e-mail the shopper.

Can it handle returns?

If you switch it on in the app, it submits a Shopify return request for shipped items after the shopper types the one-time code e-mailed to the address on the order. You approve or decline it in Shopify. For an exchange, the shopper writes in the note what they want instead. Only shipped items can be returned.

Which languages does it speak?

It replies in the language the shopper writes in, from the same store information. The chat's buttons follow the visitor's browser language.

What happens to my data if I uninstall?
